Turing Tuesday - Whitfield Diffie

Sep 08, 2026, Techical

The PCCOE ACM Student Chapter organized an online Turing Tuesday session on **Whitfield Diffie**, featuring **Dyuthi Alva (SY A)** as the speaker. The session introduced students to Diffie’s pioneering contributions to public-key cryptography and modern Internet security. A mystery-based approach encouraged participants to identify the featured personality through clues before the reveal. The presentation explained how public-key cryptography enables secure communication without openly sharing secret keys. With approximately 54 students participating, the session combined interactive learning with technical insights, helping students understand the importance of cryptography in protecting digital information and enabling secure communication.
